Antarctica would not be affected, it's too dry.

I doubt that anywhere, from the tallest mountains down would not be affected sooner or later.

Who knows, once rivers and man made lakes have destoyed the dams etc that we have built to sustain our wasteful society, maybe even deserts would change as water would once again be allowed to flow its own path and more water will be returned to underground lakes and holes. And maybe that is all it takes to stop the deserts from taking over anymore then it already is. Also the weather system would change as once again you will not have massive cities changing weather patterns around the globe.

I imagine some of the barren deserts where we don't go anyway would stay the same for many years to come without humans.
