WIN! The Tragedy of the Montevideo Maru on DVD

WIN! The Tragedy of the Montevideo Maru on DVD

The History Channel is giving you the chance to WIN 1 of 10 DVDs of our local production, The Tragedy of the Monetevideo Maru - Australia’s greatest ever maritime disaster.

Over 1,000 fine young Australian men drowned when this little known Japanese prison ship was torpedoed on the 1st of July 1942 by the American submarine USS Sturgeon off the coast of the Philippines. This exclusive local production pays homage to this uncelebrated tragic event and its unsung victims.

The DVD has bonus material including the Subic Bay Memorial service in the Phillipines on the 1st of July 2009 for the men lost of the Montevideo Maru plus a discussion between 2 deep sea wreck experts as to where the ship lies, the logistics of locating her, what would have happened to the ship as it sank (it’s deeper than the TITANIC) and how the ship would probably look today.

For all the details and your chance to WIN, just complete the details below.
